Step-by-step setup guide
Install AISaleBot from BigCommerce
Install AISaleBot from the BigCommerce Marketplace or from the app review/install link provided by BigCommerce.
Installation steps
- Log in to your BigCommerce control panel.
- Open Apps from the left sidebar.
- Click App marketplace.
- Click Discover apps in the App Marketplace.
- Search for AISaleBot.
- Open the AISaleBot app listing and click Install.
- Approve the requested permissions.
- Wait for the app to open inside the BigCommerce control panel.
Complete onboarding
After installation, AISaleBot creates your store workspace and prepares a chatbot for your BigCommerce store.
Before enabling the chatbot
- Make sure your store products are available in BigCommerce.
- Review your chatbot name, greeting, and brand settings.
- Choose the AI model you want the chatbot to use.
- Configure the chatbot persona so it matches your brand voice and support style.
- Add response guidelines to control how the chatbot should answer customer questions.
- Sync product data so the chatbot can answer product-related questions.
Sync store products and add training sources
Use the Sources tab in AISaleBot to sync product information from your BigCommerce catalog. You can also upload additional files to train the chatbot with store policies, FAQs, product documents, or other business information.
- Open AISaleBot inside the BigCommerce control panel.
- Go to the Sources tab.
- Click the Update BigCommerce Product button in the Sources tab to import product data from your BigCommerce catalog.
- Wait until the product sync finishes.
- Optionally, upload additional documents such as store policies, promotions, shipping information, return policies, warranty details, or frequently asked questions to provide more training data for the chatbot.
- Test a product-related question in the chatbot preview.

- Configure the chatbot position on the storefront.

Enable and test the storefront chatbot
Enable AISaleBot from the app dashboard, then open your live storefront to confirm the chatbot appears and works correctly.
Testing checklist
- The chatbot icon appears on the storefront.
- The chat window opens when clicked.
- The greeting message is displayed correctly.
- The chatbot answers basic store and product questions.
- The chatbot does not block checkout, cart, or native storefront features.
Uninstall AISaleBot
If you no longer want to use AISaleBot, uninstall the app from your BigCommerce control panel.
- Go to Apps in your BigCommerce control panel.
- Find AISaleBot in My Apps.
- Click Uninstall.
- AISaleBot will remove its storefront script automatically.
- Refresh the storefront and confirm the chatbot no longer appears.

How AISaleBot is added to your storefront
- AISaleBot uses the BigCommerce Script API / Script Manager to load the chatbot script.
- The script is loaded on the storefront footer.
- The script is configured as a functional script because it supports storefront chatbot functionality.
- The script is automatically removed when the app is uninstalled.
Troubleshooting
Chatbot is not visible
- Confirm that the chatbot is enabled in AISaleBot.
- Refresh the storefront page.
- Clear browser cache or test in an incognito window.
- Check that your store theme allows storefront scripts.
- Contact AISaleBot support if the issue continues.
Script does not appear to update
- Disable and re-enable the chatbot from AISaleBot.
- Refresh the storefront after saving changes.
- Check the browser Network tab for the AISaleBot embed.js request.
- Contact support if the script still does not update.
Theme or layout conflicts
- Test the storefront in Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.
- Check whether custom theme code is blocking third-party scripts.
- Try moving the chatbot position in AISaleBot settings.
